This past month on October 26th, R&B duo Majid Jordan released their second studio album titled The Space Between. The duo started their music career in Toronto, after meeting in college. After collaborating with fellow Toronto artist Drake, Majid Jordan began receiving more attention and gained popularity after releasing EP A Place Like This. Their new album lives up to fan’s expectations of their unique soulful sound. The Space Between is full of hit dance tracks like “One I want” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR and “Body Talk”. For me personally, “Body Talk” has been on repeat since the album was released. I had not known much about Majid Jordan until recently but it hasn’t taken very long for me to become familiar with their sound. Their distinctive, compelling voices combined with catchy beats will have you hooked.
I was trying to figure out what else I should write about for this month’s article and then this song started playing on my Spotify playlist and I knew it had to be done. If you haven’t heard “Lemon” by N.E.R.D. yet, you are missing out. Why? Because you haven’t had the chance to listen to Rihanna rap yet and that is a shame. So the first time I heard “Lemon”, I knew it was already a bop and then a minute into the song, Rihanna starts to rap. I haven’t stopped listening to it since it came out. N.E.R.D has not released a full-length album since 2010 but the release of “Lemon” is preview into their comeback album No_One Ever Really Dies. Based on what I have heard so far, it is an album to look forward to.
